I interned with the company OverDrive, provider of e-books and entertainment through worldwide libraries, during summer 2024. During my time with the company, I used my photography skills to plan, execute, and edit multiple photoshoots based off of desired images for marketing materials. In addition, I was given the chance to practice my candid photography skills and capture important moments.
Sora Spectacular
OverDrive hosted Sora Spectacular to celebrate the anniversary of the launch of Sora, their school reading app. I photographed the whole event, grabbing numerous candid pictures of the families enjoying the various activities. The highlight of the event was the reveal of the Lego Sora statue, in which I was able to capture the reactions of the children seen in the first picture.
General Marketing Images
My primary responsibility during my internship was to create custom marketing images promoting the use of Libby and Kanopy in various settings, from cooking to a workout to watching a movie at night. I planned and directed all photoshoots and edited the results via Lightroom. As my internship progressed, I became better at adjusting my compositions and correcting elements on set rather than in post.
